Katie Zanita Clark
Katie Zanita Clark is an equity-driven education leader with over 20 years of experience serving historically underserved and diverse communities as a teacher, instructional coach, school administrator, and district leader. Her career has been defined by a deep commitment to rigorous, inclusive education and a proven ability to lead complex, high-stakes processes that directly impact student outcomes.
Katie's career began in special education, where she gained foundational experience and insight into serving students with diverse learning needs. She then transitioned into teaching middle and high school mathematics and senior project courses grounded in experiential learning. That wide range of classroom experience allows her to coach and support teachers across grade levels and content areas. After more than 10 years in the classroom, Katie moved into Instructional Coaching and then school site and district administration, where she developed expertise in building instructional systems and monitoring progress across schools. Over the course of her career, Katie has worked with schools and districts across Colorado, California, and Arizona, partnering with both district and charter organizations to strengthen teaching and learning.
Driven by a belief that every child deserves access to an excellent education, Katie continues to advocate for the students, teachers, and communities that need it most through her consulting work and as a board member for various nonprofits in the service of schools and families. She enjoys spending her time off with her three kids and husband, hiking in the mountains, competing in sports, and playing board games.

Charter renewal is one of the most high-stakes processes a school faces. Katie brings firsthand expertise, having successfully led teams through the Oversight and Renewal processes in LAUSD and other districts.
Services include documentation and compliance preparation, site visit readiness, administrator talking points preparation, and narrative writing that authentically captures community contributions, student strengths, and program highlights.
Great schools are built by great leaders. Katie partners with administrators and district leaders at every level to bring a vision to life, align teams, and offer practical leadership skills needed to drive meaningful change for students and staff.
Engagements are custom-designed and may include one-on-one leadership coaching, team facilitation, vision-setting retreats, and support for navigating complex organizational challenges.
Katie has led district-wide curriculum adoptions and written curriculum for national publishers. She brings a deep understanding of how to design rigorous, culturally responsive learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse learners.
